A graduate of San Francisco Theological Seminary, Rev. Burns has served the
Presbyterian Church in various capacities and on every level. Now semi-retired
and living in the Smith River area, Ron is married to world-class artist Lihua Zhao.

Locally, Ron has been a member of the Crescent City EDC and for fun and
fellowship he's a charter member of the Rowdy Creek Scotch Club. "How could
a good Scotsman refuse such an opportunity?" He is also the leader of the Gold
Beach Salty Dogs, which is a meditation and fellowship group that meets at the
Presbyterian church most Wednesdays at 11 am.
Rev. Burns also has an athletic background, including having been an all league
college basketball player, avid golfer, private pilot, and certified scuba diver. Today
he says his greatest joys are his wife Lihua, being our pastor, and abiding in Christ.
