Art Raffle Fundraiser
ART RAFFLE FUNDRAISER
Members of the Gold Beach Presbyterian church sold tickets for a
raffle of this wonderful signed and numbered print, donated to the
church by the artist.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Lihua Zhao is a world class artist seen in many galleries
and shows. She began her art career at the young age of
5, and became known in her native China by the age of 7.
Much of her work is done in ink, which is considered the
highest form of Chinese art in her home country. Seen as
very similar, the ink drawings often are accompanied by a
poem. Lihua describes her work in ink as a poem, and
her work in acrylic (another favorite of hers) as being more
like karate.
Lihua, originally from China, now lives with her husband
Reverend Ron Burns, in Smith River. There she painted
the Peacock shown to the left, and has donated a
numbered artists hand enhanced print to be raffled to
raise funds for the historic Gold Beach Presbyterian
Church.
